The Philadelphia Eagles announced starting quarterback Jalen Hurts will not play in the team’s final game of the regular season against the New York Giants. Hurts is listed on the injury report with a concussion and left finger injury.
Hurts sustained a concussion in Week 16 against the Washington Commanders and has yet to clear concussion protocol since. On Friday, head coach Nick Sirianni gave a brief update on Hurts.
“He’s progressing through the protocol,” Sirianni said.
With the rest of the team resting in Week 18, it was unlikely Hurts would’ve played even if he was healthy. However, it’s unclear where Hurts stands for the playoffs.
