If you just finished binging Squid Game season 2 and are looking for things to invest your time in, Activision has you covered. Following COD’s invitation to Squid Game last month, the event is live now. All players in Call of Duty Black Ops 6 and Warzone can enjoy new Squid Game-themed activities.
There are a lot of activities in COD celebrating the series’ second season, from limited-time game modes to a new Fortnite-inspired event pass. Of course, there are also new Operator bundles you can purchase with real money.

COD Squid Game event game modes explained
As you’d expect, the new game modes are inspired by the deadly games players are forced to participate in on the show. However, they’re not replicating the games exactly, and being a Call of Duty experience, there’s plenty of shooting involved.
In Red Light, Green Light, players participate in three two-minute rounds. The first round plays almost exactly like the game in the show, but after that players can pick up weapons from the ground. When the doll says “Green Light”, you can eliminate others, but then you’ll need to stop moving once “Red Light” is uttered.
Pentathlon adds two new multiplayer modes: Piggy Bank Team Deathmatch and Roulette. In the former, every elimination will increase the payout collected in the piggy bank, which will drop at the end for the victor to collect.
In Roulette, players will use one-shot roulette handguns with one bullet in them. Be careful though, as the chances of the handgun blowing up in your face increase with each shot.
Squid Game Moshpit adds a twist to the classic moshpit mode with various scorestreaks related to the show. You can stop enemies in their tracks with the Red Light, Green Light Scorestreak, pick up Piggy Banks from eliminated players, and grab a roulette handgun that activates a permanent UAV effect.
Dead Light, Green Light is a twist on the iconic game including zombies. During the “Green Light” phase, players can kill zombies and earn Essence, and if they move during the “Red Light” phase, it’ll get drained automatically. The “Dead Light” phase spawns a large boss with more waves of enemies at the end of the mode.
Warzone players can participate in the festivities by dressing up as their favorite Squid Game characters. There are also many new minigames in Urzikstan, including “Red Light, Green Light.”

A new Squid Game event pass is also available in the game, with a free and a premium version, similar to Fortnite’s music pass. The Premium Pass can be purchased for 1100 COD points, although all players can earn ten rewards without paying for it through the free tier. The collaboration doesn’t end here as Microsoft recently announced some limited-edition Squid Game-themed Xbox controllers. Netflix has also released a new Squid Game mobile game for free.
