Carlos Santana is having to postpone a series of performances, according to a report from Variety.
The outlet shared on Friday, January 3 that the “Smooth” hitmaker, 77, suffered “accidental fall” and sustained an injury.
“I am sorry to say that Carlos was out taking a walk at his vacation home in Kauai,” said Michael Vrionis, president of Universal Tone Management, in a statement shared to Santana’s Instagram page. “He took a hard fall, and he broke his little finger on his left hand. He had to have pins inserted in the finger. Unfortunately, he won’t be able to play guitar for approximately six weeks. Doctors do say that he will recuperate fully.”
