Nicole Kidman Reveals Unusual Secret to Her and Keith Urban’s Marriage

In an interview with W Magazine published on Friday, January 3, Kidman, 57, shared the secret that has allowed her marriage to Urban, also 57, thrive. When asked if she sings in the shower, the Babygirl actress revealed that she does, in fact, enjoy this activity, and that she and Urban both partake. Kidman is up for the Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Drama award for her role in Babygirl at the 2025 Golden Globe Awards, which will broadcast on Sunday, January 5 at 6 p.m. ET. Elsewhere in the interview, the Australian actress revealed that the movie — in which Kidman plays a woman having an affair with a younger man — was thrilling for her. “It captivated me; it didn’t scare me,” she said. “Yes, there’s sex, but it’s existential in its crisis for this character: A woman’s having an exploration of who she is at this particular age, in this relationship—the different roles that she plays, her desire to hold on to her power and then relinquish it. It’s very honest, which I love.” While Kidman is bound to deliver a memorable red carpet look this weekend, she also said she’s had “a few train wrecks” at past award shows, and even recalled something her late mother once said about some of her past red carpet outfits. “My mama thought I had many bad red carpet looks,” Kidman said. “I remember wearing a headdress once to the Golden Globes. I didn’t know what I was doing.”
