Blaney’s family has been a formidable presence in the racing world since the mid-20th century. His great-grandfather, George Blaney, laid down the foundations, while his grandfather Lou claimed over 600 race victories. Blaney’s father, Dave, also stepped into the NASCAR scene. Ryan later emerged as a star with Team Penske, contributing to their string of triumphs. In 2023, Blaney delivered an exceptional season. This momentum was slightly challenged in 2024, but he rallied towards the end with important victories whilst his Team Penske teammate Joey Logano clinched the title.
