A cat’s undeniably angry reaction after being sat on by his owner has left the internet in hysterics.
A video was shared on TikTok showing the cat, named Floyd Meoweather, looking utterly enraged after “the spare human” accidentally sat on him. The cat’s owner went to sit on the couch without realizing his grumpy cat was already there in his spot. Floyd certainly didn’t hide his frustration, as he perched on the bottom step, glaring angrily at his owners for the next 40 minutes.
The video showing Floyd’s reaction was posted on his dedicated TikTok account in November, and it’s gone viral with over 6.6 million views and more than 979,900 likes at the time of writing.
Newsweek has contacted @floydmeoweather via TikTok for comment.
Alongside the hilarious video, the caption jokes: “Justice must be served.” There’s no doubt that Floyd doesn’t mind showing his feelings, and his owners won’t want to repeat the same error if they wish to stay on his good side.

Just like people, cats are capable of feeling a whole range of emotions. They can experience everything from happiness, sadness, anger, fear, and even frustration. According to pet food brand Purina, the best way to help them through whatever they’re feeling is to recognize the signs and respond accordingly.
If a cat is happy and content, their body language will be relaxed, paws tucked underneath them, or lying down stretched out. On the contrary, if they’re feeling angry, their body will be rigid, tail held out stiff, ears tensed and flat against their head, and their eyes hard and focused. There can also be behavioral signs, as Purina suggests that an angry cat might hiss, spit, or growl.
If a cat is angry, owners should tread carefully and avoid any provocation. Do not stare, shout, or make any sudden movements as they can interpret these as a threat. Purina recommends owners retreat slowly, remove any threats, and give the cat plenty of time to calm down.
