The NFL Pro Bowl Games has changed its format, but the voting remains the same. Players, fans, and coaches all cast their votes to determine which players are the best at their given position.
Despite the democratic voting system, there are always snubs every year. This year is no different. Here are the top five biggest snubs left out of the 2025 NFL Pro Bowl Games.

5. Jonnu Smith, TE – Miami Dolphins
The Miami Dolphins are tragically one of four teams who did not get any player into the Pro Bowl Games. While the team has clearly had some issues this season, there has been one shining star among the offensive players.
Newly-signed tight end Jonnu Smith joined the Dolphins after spending the 2023 season with the Atlanta Falcons.
Smith brought in 828 yards and seven touchdowns through 17 games. He also had 79 catches for a 10.5 yards-per-catch average. His yardage was good for fourth among tight ends, and his catches were third. Still, Smith was left out in the cold.
4. Brian Thomas Jr., WR – Jacksonville Jaguars
Brian Thomas Jr. arrived in the NFL and immediately made an impact. The Jacksonville Jaguars rookie became one of the most dynamic receivers in the league, and it could be that everyone had not been paying attention to the games that the Jaguars played.
Thomas has 1,179 yards and 10 touchdowns through 17 games of the regular season. Both figures rank him in the top five at the wide receiver position. Despite this, he was left out of his first Pro Bowl nod, which is confusing, to say the least.
3. Danielle Hunter, DE – Houston Texans
Danielle Hunter joined the Houston Texans after spending most of his career with the Minnesota Vikings. As a cornerstone piece of the Texans’ defensive attack, Hunter answered with 12 sacks and one forced fumble.
Hunter’s 12 sacks place him only two behind the league leaders, Myles Garrett and Trey Hendrickson. Despite this, he was left out of the Pro Bowl games.
Hunter also has a 19.3 percent quarterback pressure rate which is tied with Micah Parsons. However, his stats were not good enough to be nominated to the games.
2. Kerby Joseph, S, Detroit Lions
While the Detroit Lions have some great players who have been added to the Pro Bowl, star safety Kerby Joseph was left off that list. It appears everyone did not tune into his two-interception game against the San Francisco 49ers.
It wasn’t just the Week 17 showdown that should have led to Joseph being a shoo-in, but it should have been because of his league-leading nine interceptions. Maybe his 12 passes defended, 43.9 completion percentage and 39.9 passer rating were highly overlooked.
Joseph has been one of the best secondary defenders in the league, and his missing the Pro Bowl Games is criminal.

It is understandable that the Pro Bowl Games are not made out of popularity contests, but for Baker Mayfield to not make the games is quite confusing. Mayfield put together a wonderful campaign that includes 4,279 yards, 39 touchdowns, and 15 interceptions.
Mayfield also has a staggering 71.7 completion percentage through 17 games. He was nominated in 2023 after putting up 4,044 yards, 28 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions.

Mayfield not only got better in 2024, but he has been instrumental in leading the Buccaneers to the playoffs yet again. This was clearly not enough to lead to his second Pro Bowl nod.
