Woman Takes Inspo Pic to Stylist for New Haircut—Nobody Prepared for Result

Getting a haircut is always exciting, until you see the results and realize the worst has happened. A young woman shared her haircut fail in a viral TikTok post that has sparked a heated debate in the comments. The video shared in December by @stephanied1519 shows the poster’s long curly hair, followed by a screen grab of the haircut she took inspiration from, before unveiling the actual cut she got, which she argued looked nothing like the picture. “I LOOK LIKE A BOY,” said the caption as the poster showed off her new haircut, looking visibly shorter and less dynamic than the one she had asked for. Haircuts can go one of two ways, that’s why when people find a hairdresser that actually does give good results they tend to go back over and over. A poll by YouGov said that a third of Americans always see the same person for a haircut. More results from the poll showed that a fifth of the population saw the same hairdresser “often but not always,” while only 17 percent saw different people for their haircuts. @stephanied1519 I LOOK LIKE A BOY ? ? According to Vogue, hair trends to look out for in 2025 include ultra short bobs, side parts, fairy waves, Jane Birkin bangs, ’90s “it” girl blowout, rounded bobs, braids, face-framing layers, and brushed out waves among others. As for hair colors, cherry cola like Dua Lipa’s, golden silvers like Lady Gaga’s, and espresso martini like Khloe Kardashian’s will all be among the most popular, along with ginger spice, vibrant copper, moody browns and blended gray transitions. One user, Criss, commented: “People don’t realize not every type of face can go with the same haircut.” Paloma said: “I think the girl in the pic had a different type of curl.” Brown Davette added: “You got the cut, you just don’t have the same hair.” Nailita wrote: “They cut it to short and didn’t add layers, but go to someone who specializes in curly hair. Its savable!” Newsweek has reached out to @stephanied1519 for comment via TikTok comments. We could not verify the details of the case.
