The Celtic Warrior had been sidelined due to injuries sustained in a Triple Threat match for the Intercontinental Championship, where Ludwig Kaiser and Bron Breakker went head-to-head with Sheamus. During the match, Kaiser viciously used Sheamus’ shillelagh to beat him into submission, leaving the former champion with a legitimate cracked rib that kept him out of action. WWE/Getty Images On this week’s Raw, Sheamus made his return just as Kaiser was in the ring, cutting a promo and taunting the Houston crowd. As Kaiser attempted to call out the reigning Intercontinental Champion, Breakker, he was instead met with an enraged Sheamus. Sheamus stormed the ring, unloading on Kaiser with a flurry of powerful strikes. Despite Kaiser’s attempt to target Sheamus’ eyes in retaliation, Sheamus quickly countered with a punishing blow to Kaiser’s midsection. The crowd erupted in cheers as Sheamus followed up with his signature Brogue Kick, sending Kaiser crashing to the mat. Sheamus later followed up with a backstage interview with Cathey Kelly, in which he vowed revenge on both Kaiser and Breakker and promised Netflix viewers more action.
