Glen Powell is trading Top Gun fighter jets for football helmets — and a prosthetic nose.
On Saturday, December 28, Hulu’s first teaser for Chad Powers hit the scene, giving fans a whole new look at the 36-year-old Hollywood icon.
Actor Glen Powell is seen outside ABC Studio on July 18, 2024 in New York City. Fast forward to December, Hulu dropped the first teaser of ‘Chad Powers’ and Powell is virtually unrecognizable.

“I got something coming up,” Powell declares in the 14-second trailer. “Somethin’ kinda big.” The quick clip shows the former Scream Queens star in the midst of transformation, applying facial prosthetics and embracing his new alter ego.
For those in the dark, Powell plays Russ Holliday, a former college quarterback whose career nosedives after some questionable decisions. To make a comeback, Holliday reinvents himself as “Chad Powers,” complete with shaggy hair, a mustache, and an exaggerated prosthetic nose.
The comedy series, which the Hit Man actor co-created with Michael Waldron, is based on Eli Manning’s 2022 ESPN+ sketch, where the 43-year-old NFL star similarly disguised himself for walk-on tryouts at Penn State. Powell’s take spins the idea into a full-blown half-hour comedy about redemption, hilarity, and second chances on the field.

Powell aside, the series is packed with talent. Steve Zahn, Perry Mattfeld, and Quentin Plair round out the cast, with the Manning brothers serving as executive producers. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter earlier this year, Powell claimed it’s one of the hardest roles he’s ever attempted.
A day after the trailer dropped, the Texas native posted the sneak peek to Instagram, captioning it, “Big things are coming in 2025. ? Glen Powell is Chad Powers in #ChadPowersHulu.”
After the post hit social media, fans wasted no time flooding the comments section.
“Suddenly I’m into football movies…” one fan joked.
“I CANT WAIT I AM SO EXCITED OMH,” another exclaimed.
“It should be Illegal to look that Good!” a third chimed in.
“They thought they could make him less handsome with this nose? Still hot?,” another fan pointed out.
The 10-episode season is set for release in fall 2025.
